“Do what’s right for the land.” It’s an ethos that the people who have lived at Cerro Gordo have taken to heart. Today, thanks to their foresight and dedication, glimmering Willamette Valley prairie, healthy oak and conifer forest, and a prominent rocky butte near Cottage Grove are all protected for conservation. However, it hasn’t been an easy or straightforward path.

Join the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council for a talk on the topic of Cerro Gordo, a prominent rocky butte located along Dorena Lake, with McKenzie River Trust's Land Protection Manager, Robin Meacher and members of the Cerro Gordo Land Conservancy. Learn about the history, ecology, conservation efforts and more at this presentation. More details to to come!

The event begins with informal socializing, trivia, and updates about the Coast Fork Watershed during the first hour. The Science Pub presentation begins at 6pm. CFWWC receives 10% of all sales from the evening between 5-7:30pm. The event is free to the public, with a $5 donation suggested.
