Dragonfly and Damselfly Field Course at Green Island
Open in Google Maps
Location Change: Due to winter flooding at Finn Rock Reach, we will be unable to access this site for the tour as originally planned. Green Island will serve as our outdoor classroom!
Join dragonfly expert Cary Kerst for a morning field course on dragonflies and damselflies. We will learn about the life cycle, preferred habitat, and behavior of these fascinating creatures who call Green Island home. Bring your binoculars and a camera - you will be fascinated when you see these creatures up close. Cary will provide butterfly nets, though if you have your own you are welcome to bring it.
Note: this in-depth educational tour is meant for adults and mature kids only.
